Bike Recoveries

Found it for sale on Ebay using findthatbike.co.uk. Bought it and got a refund from Ebay with the police crime reference number and details.

Friend happened to be in the town centre and saw my bike propped up outside a public bike lock-up. She had a key to the lock-up and after confirming with me that it was indeed my bike, she left it inside the lock-up. I have it back now :-) Amazing good luck!

No police investigation...they don't care.

Camera footage showed location and we acted fast and manged to get bike back!

I was contacted by Bike Register and the with the Met Police who assisted me in connecting with OMA Bikes who were brilliant in helping to recover the bike.

I found the culprit riding our bicycle in Chelmsford high street. We ran behind him and called the police for help.

Bike was purchased through ebay, the buyer noticed damage to the frame where the bike had been welded to steal it. They then checked the frame number on the bike register and contacted me via the bike register website to say they had purchased my bike. The bike was then turned in to Twickenham police as stolen property and we collected it. The eBay seller is selling other stolen items under unique seller IDs (the most recent a hot pink Tern sold on 2 April). Ebay has been alerted but not taking action

I saw the bike being advertised on Gumtree. I contacted the seller, made contact with the Police, and then went to get in back. It was located in Harrow, stolen in Croydon.

I received text from neighbourhood about my bike. I went to check and contacted police when able to verified my bike, police helped me to retrieve it back to home. The bike was stripped to almost bare frame and wheels, almost all parts are gone now. Hence, the bike is technically half stolen at this point.

Bike tracker was traced overnight to a residential address. Officers traced it to the address at approximately 10.30am 3rd April. Returned to owner approximately 12.15 that same day. Abus lock attached to bike was removed and not recovered. Otherwise no other damage.

Winton police contacted me and informed me that someone had handed in my bike. Very grateful to all involved.
