Bike Marking Events
The police regularly set up marking events to provide cycle security advice and offer security marking and registration onto BikeRegister’s online database.
Registering your bike helps police and retailers identify and verify the legitimate owner of bikes that have been stolen or are being resold. Search below to find your nearest event.

| Notes | We will be in SOUTHWOOD COUNTRY PARK, Ively Road, Farnborough, GU14 0LJ on Saturday 03rd May 2025 between 10.00hrs and 13.00hrs marking and registering bikes free of charge. Registering a bike is free and takes under three minutes, and can be complimented by the use of BikeRegister’s security marking kits. The Membership Plus Kit we are using come with visible tamper-resistant labels, which make bikes far harder for thieves to resell, and less likely to target. Bikes marked with these stickers are 83% less likely to be stolen than un-marked bikes. As part of the process we will need to register your bike on the Bike Register National Cycle Database. If possible, please obtain your bikes frame number prior to your arrival and have it ready for the marking officer. This will substantially speed up the process of marking & registering your bike.
