Bike Recoveries

The bike was recovered in complete condition, and was found in a trap house, where there was a drug bust, and inside, were many stolen bikes that included the one that was returned to me so thank you for your service. I’m glad that I registered the bike for if I hadn’t I done that, it would have never been discovered, found, or returned to back to me. Sometimes it pays to remember to. And document Your personal valuables, and report to the police when things like that are stolen even though the odds are against us in finding things being returned back to us, it’s always nice extra happy suprize when they are.

Someone who purchased this bike from eBay discovered it to be marked as stolen and handed it to their local police station, DC Mark Gordon from Acton Police Station recovered it from there, massive thanks to everyone from the Metropolitan Police and the person who handed it in!

Was sent a message through Facebook saying that someone had found the bike within another bike shed about a 5 minute walk away and had taken it into their flat until it could be verified. Matched same serial.

My neighbour saw my bike locked up not far from where it was stolen on 16th Feb. Police v. helpful & attended and removed the lock that the thieves had placed on it with bolt cutters. Able to prove ownership from bike register, frame number, police report etc., keys and identifiable features. Lots of damage to it but v. happy to have back.

I was contacted on Facebook that they had seen my bike shortly after I posted that few men were hanging about with other bikes. Tha is to quick handling from these heroes we have our bike back fully intact minus the lock and aboard computer but battery and key still there! Hope in humanity restored!

Looking through peoples gardens in estates local to my house. I found it on the floor behind someones fence.

Identified the bycicle thanks to bike register, after raiding a location. The bike was mostly stripped apart, but i managed to rebuild it for an extra 100 pounds.

They arrested 2 lads on other offences and recovered my bike at the same, not realising it was stolen at first, but the social media post and the QR code alerted them to that it was my bike.

My bike was removed from the train station bike rack at Glasgow central by a worker, because it wasn't locked, and they it put into a storage room.

Found it for sale on Facebook marketplace, police not interested unless I could get an address, so brother in law went and got it, had to hand over some cash, fraction of what it was actually worth, but I wanted it back and the piece of crap wasn't going to hang around, so what can you do, got my bike back, but it sucks that the police don't want to know!
