Bike Recoveries

Sahra bought my stolen bike on gumtree then realised it had been stolen when they googled my bike register code! So happy send grateful to bike register otherwise I’d never have got it back

Contacted by someone who found the bike at the Gyle Center.

Was contacted via Facebook by a man who said he had the bike in his possession and spent £300 on it after buying it from a "mate".

Says he found it at a house of a friend and the boy who stole it was there. Cole London… and he is a known for being a thief. I’m just glad I got my bike back.

Bakewell Police contacted me this morning, 23rd July, to let me know that they had found the E Bike. I'm most grateful to everyone involved and extend thanks to the community spirited individuals who reported that they had seen the bike locally to their home. Fantastic news, and great policing.

Finder searched bikeregister after police refused to help.

It isn’t the same bike anymore. They removed things and messed up the gears. But I know who did it.

I stopped by a bike store in my area for hardly 2 minutes when a guy showed up with my stolen bicycle to ask for replacement of the rear inner tube (due to flat tire). By the time I confirmed it was my bike by identifying the pedals, saddle and frame number, the police had arrested the man (drug addict). The man confessed.

Contacted by buyer who had purchased stolen bike. Handed into Yorkshire police.

I found the bike being sold online via www.findthatbike.co..uk i notified the police using 101, they and I arrived at the cash converters selling the bike the next morning and the police recovered my bike and returned it to me.

I had an apple AirTag on the bike and I was able to track it, it was hidden in an outdoor area. I recovered my bike.

Local Bike shop Cycleshackm found them on the side of the road. Thank you to Cycleshack!!

My partner came across someone who was riding his stolen e-bike whilst he was in an alleyway. As he relies on a walking stick for mobility he pushed it through the spokes & grabbed hold of the handlebars not letting the guy cycle off with the bike. After about 30mins of arguing, tussling & my partner even offering the guy out for a fight (though my partner was much smaller than him) the police were called, presumably by the neighbours hearing a commotion. The other guy knew he was riding a nicked bike (though he wasn't the thief) & gave the bike up to the police. Later we went down to the station with proof of receipts, crime ref.log No., Bike Register details, photos etc. and thankfully we now have the bike back with its rightful owner. I'm so pleased & really proud of my partner for getting it back after having it taken from him nearly 7months ago. Alas, it's been quite trashed so we'll have to see what can be done about that, but it's a great feeling to have it back. He'd only had it about 2 months (bought brand new) before it was taken from him by a gang of lads at night.
