Bike Recoveries

I was contacted by the police to say that a shop (Cashrecycle, Ashley Road, Poole) had phoned them to report a bike had been sold to them, but they were suspicious about the bike. They looked the bike up on this register and saw it was stolen. So they called the Police. I picked the bike up this morning.

A local police officer recovered my bike from a public park (lammas land) while he was not even in office! Contacted me by searching up on BikeRegister after which he handed the bike to the police officer in office.

I contacted the thief who was also selling the bike and showed him my serial number, and that it matched the bike he was selling. He apologiesed and gave it back.

Got call from police 03/09/2023 informing me that the bicycle have been recovered by them

I posted my bike on the 'Official STOLEN BIKES in Cambridge' Facebook group, and another member saw it abandoned in Barnwell and secured it in their garage before contacting me to arrange collection.

I was contacted by my neighbour who found my bike on the next street

I posted on FB on various community groups. A stranger spotted it in the bush and was able to scan and see that it was reported stolen recently and found me on FB.

I and my housemates saw our neighbor entering their property with it. Contacted police and when they finally arrived, we recovered it but it is in abysmal shape and probably not worth the repair investment.

Thanks to BikeTrax GPS anti theft tracker device from PowUnity. This hidden device transmitted the exact location of the stolen bike. I would NEVER have found it without this technology. Works even when the ebike is switched off. Alerts you on your mobile through the App when it is moved.

A resident of the next village over contacted me via bikeregister after finding the bike abandoned in a park, and then subsequently finding it listed on here as stolen. After popping over to confirm it was indeed my bike, I actually decided to let them keep it, as it is of low value and I had already purchased another bike as a replacement. It has now found a new lease of life being ridden around by their young daughter. A happy outcome thanks to bikeregister - I am glad it has gone to a good home! Good on the family for doing the right thing and getting in touch also :)

Stolen 22/2/23 Recovered 14/8/23. Written off by insurance company as not economically viable for repair. Phone call from Met to say bike recovered could we collect it.
