Bike Recoveries

Tracked using Apple AirTag. Police were able to recover when provided with location.

Made a post on Facebook and published to local community pages. Someone spotted post and spotted bike dumped near workplace and carried this back to my office.

Found a bike with a tag and took it back from a thief

I found the bike for sale on Facebook Marketplace

I contacted the thief who was trying to sell it on gumtree asking to buy it, and when we met I took it back and told him to fuck off.

After seeing my bike advertised for sale on Facebook marketplace, I made contact with the seller and contacted police again who visited the address given by the seller. The bike was arranged to be dumped somewhere where the police could recover it. Later the same day our other bike was also dumped and we were able to recover that with the help of BTP officers.

PC Bowden and his colleague went to the house where the man who was advertising my partners bike said we should view the bike. Initially this bike was not there but after speaking to the occupants of the house he managed to speak to the seller and later he managed to recover the bike after they gave him a location where it was. Subsequently they later gave him details of where it was and we were then able to recover my bike too. We are really very grateful for all the support from PC Bowden and his colleagues.

This was in cash converters they accepted the bike even though it was stolen and logged as stolen on there system!

The bike has been found and is currently being looked at
