Bike Recoveries

A member of the Facebook group who saw my ad saw my bike and took it to a safe place, then called me. The bike was a bit scratched and missing the items in the basket – lights, cables, seat cover, and a few personal items – but it returned home intact ;). The strangest thing is that someone returned it to the place it was stolen from and secured it with... a belt ;-)

Made contact with local police service after discovering the bike on Vinted. Arranged a meetup with the seller as a prospective buyer but arranged for two police officers to accompany me to the meetup. Once I matched the frame number with my listing on Bike Register the seller gladly gave the bike away (doubt that he was the individual who stole it in the first place).

He passed the bike on the side of a road, and contacted.

Saw the bike on Facebook market place, arranged to meet seller. Arranged police to sit off when he turned up sat on bike and he was arrested.

I recovered it by looking through Facebook marketplace.

It was recovered by the police, from Sainsbury's local store, on Radford Rd, Leamington, on 14/04/26, when arresting a shoplifter, who was using it. Thanks to Bike Register, it was able to be returned to me.

Guys on construction side found the bike , called to Bike Register and Bike Register called me

The thiefs dropped my Bike at his house and he kept trying to find the owner, last weekend he saw the bike register sticker in my bicycle and he talke to the Bike regisyer team and I received an email saying Ahmed wanted to return for a long time. So happy to have it back and happy to have it registered. Thank you Ahmed and Bike Recovery

Neighbours shared information on who stole the bike

I found the bike being sold on facebook market place the next day and informed the police but they refused to offer assistance. We arranged to meet the seller at Waterloo station pretending to be an interested buyer and took the bike back, police at the station was informed whilst this was occurring and assisted. Thief's details were taken by police but no further action. A risky situation which I wouldn't recommend necessarily but it was the only way to receive police assistance.

A local 6th form student enjoying the sun on Redland Green, noticed a bike dumped against a tree, and whilst looking at Facebook Cycle Group saw my message and photo of the stolen bike. He phoned me and I went and collected the bike. Bike in good order but minus pump and saddle tool bag.

Bike Stolen on 11th Wednesday 11:03 pm . Bike Recovered Thursday 12th 2026 by gmp police officers as Bike taken to Ashton police Station .the Bike a put tracking on it to find it. Excellent outcome 🫡
