Bike Recoveries

I was contacted by the National Bike Registry to tell me that a local resident had found the bike in the bin area of their flat, and was holding it in safekeeping for me.

Contacted by my Estate Management team lead, who had noticed a group of individuals hanginig around the area and my bike missing last Thursday. Nathan Howard directed to the "STOLEN bikes in Cambridge" facebook page, where I found Hannah Seaby's post with my bike, which she had found discarded last Friday by Trumpington Waitrose! She kept it safe and sound for me and I was able to collect it within a few hours. No significant damage other than they succeeded in scratching off most of my 2nd BikeRegistry sticker - the 1st was already half scratched off from when it was stolen in 2019.

Was found abandoned at nearby address 2 doors down. Unlocked it as has lock key on person. Likely scenario was that thief was unable to break D-lock and thus couldn't do anything with the bike as it was unrideable with the lock connecting the front wheel and frame and so discreetly returned it. Praise God!

Performed my own sting operation successfully
