Bike Recoveries

A month and a half after the theft the police updated me that a suspect had been taken into custody but when they searched his house there were no bikes. 3 days later I saw an ebay ad for my bike from the local Cash converters. I reported it to the police but in the meantime my partner went down to the shop. He got told that someone had handed it in to be serviced and then not picked it up in the designated time frame so they were auctioning it off. When my partner showed the stolen bike ad I had made, he had enough proof and the people at the store handed the bike over. It has been serviced and I have got it back in a better condition than I had it stolen (minus one bike lock)

An honest eBay bike purchaser, checked the model on the Bike-Register. Some stickers had been removed, but found it matched the unique description and Serial Nos of bike & parts .

Found dumped in an alley way

Spotted my bike parked locally. Ran home and returned with my new bike lock and attached it to my stolen bike. Left a note telling the thief to remove their lock. Returned the next day after contacting police to find the thief had removed their lock and left my bike alone.

I was contacted on Nov 18th 2021 by the police from Gayfield place @ Edinburgh. They got my bike alongside 7 other bikes that were stolen in someone's house.

I found it online on Facebook ad, met up with the guy who stole the bike, police was with me.

I was contacted by someone who had bought the bike unawares from the thieves and then discovered via this website it was stolen. I paid a finders fee to cover the monies paid to the thieves.

It was found in a person's front garden. Police were informed and collected it and gave it back to me

Found approx 1 mile away abandoned.

My bike was stolen from outside the Clapham Grand Theatre and a week later I was contacted by a lovely gentleman who bought it from Facebook. I hope the police catch the thief and I hope he (yes he, caught on cctv) pays for taking what's not his.
