Bloke mistook it for his nephews

Bike was among a number found in a van that the police stopped the day after my bike was stolen in Poole. I had relied on the locking clamps on my Thule towbar mounted bike rack. In future I will chain my bikes to the towbar. Many thanks to Bike Register and Poole Police for getting my 3 month old CUBE Reaction 625 electric mountain bike back.

Shared on Facebook lost/stolen bike page. Someone put it up for sale on Facebook market place. People recognised it from the stolen bike page and contacted me about the advert. Seller used real name so passed details to police who recovered it.

The bike was dumped, a local resident reported it to Police who got in touch with me via Bike Register.

Local police had pulled over the rider as they had previously sold stolen bikes.

Found it against the wall near my flat with lock still intact, post where it was chained had been broken

It reappeared up the ramp we live!

I was contacted by the police about the bike, it was used in a crime in Crewe so it was left in evidence but now the bike is now back in my possession after collecting it at the Youth Offenders Centre in Hanley, Staffordshire.

I was contacted by phone that someone was arrested who was riding my bike. After 3 years!!!

i was contacted by local police, they found my bike abandoned 5 days after it was stolen. i was asked to identify my bike. looks like thieves were attracted to way more expensive bike, so took that one instead and just left mine. police found me thanks to bikeregister.

Contacted by bike register who then provided me with details of the person who had the bike. They gave me it back as had brought it off someone. The bike is minus mudguards, lights and had all the bike register stickers removed which I thought wasn’t possible.

Contacted by public on FB, and recovered. Police informed and awaiting CCTV.

A very kind lady found a bike that looked like mine dumped in woods near her home. She went to the trouble of contacting me through this site before sending me a photo of it. I said I would tom have like a closer look, so she took me to where she had spotted it and, lo and behold, the serial numbers matched! It had a different saddle, the pedal clips and mudguards had been removed, but it is now back in my possession. Thank you Hayley, thank you!
