After posting the bike all over social media, I got a message from a user saying they had seen a bike for sale on Facebook Marketplace which was recently listed. We saw the pictures and could match features to the stolen bike, and then got multiple people to enquire about the bike to confirm certain details and obtained an address. The seller was named "Adam Hussain":https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100053393194349 but looks like this potentially a fake profile as there are only 4 friends, and 2 of the friends are the ones who we confronted about the bike. These were "Troy Pedder" and "Luke Dyer". We called the police multiple times but they did nothing except telling me they will call me back, which they never did. We phoned the police one final time telling them we were going and for them to send an officer. They advised us not to go but then sent an officer in the end. We first confirmed the bike serial number + key features. After this was confirmed, we confronted Luke about the stolen bike who denied and said it was his friend Troy. He gave multiple different surnames and when Troy and Lukes parents finally arrived and we told them the police were on the way, the Dad drove away. (Blue Ford Focus Titanium EF58 KXA) They were telling us conflicting stories of how the bike came into their possesion and this did not match up. When the police finally arrived they basically said there is nothing they can do and I should be happy that my bike is here. So we are still left with a smashed up car and about £100 accessories (lights, equipment etc) that we are out of pocket. Please be on the lookout for this seller and names. Also an older silver car or the one mentioned earlier.
