Bike Recoveries

It was posted for sale on Gumtree on the same day it was burgled from my flat. I arranged to meet the seller under the pretense of wanting to buy it. I called 101 in advance to arrange for attendance by Metropolitan police offers, who arrested the seller for being in possession of stolen property.

Police arrested person using bike in the act of stealing other bike. Bike was recovered but person in possession was not charged with taking this bike.

Found at a regional police station

Saw the bike on FB marketplace. I approached the seller in person and willingly returned the bike to my possession.

Recovered from a block of flats on 188-189 Waterloo Road, London SE1 8UX

I think the security team saw that it wasn't locked up properly and stored it for safety. Thanks everyone, much appreciated.

My son and friend found my bike up against a tree at local park

Police contacted me saying they have recovered the bike.

Bicycle was stolen from Southampton by organised crime gang and two years on was recently discovered in the back of a van heading to Romania along with a bunch of other stolen bikes. Thanks to bike register I’ve been re-united with my bike and hopefully the other stolen bike owners have been too! Great work by Port of Dover Police Force. This really is a miracle story as it’s been almost two years. Excellent to see the Police and Bike Register are wrecking the thieves plans!

Bike was removed by Access

Found abandoned nearby. Finder took it in and contacted the police. They also used this website and a similar one and found my posts about the bike and contacted me. Thank you for providing this service!

Alerted by stolen-bikes.co.uk of ad on Facebook Marketplace. Went to buy and looked at frame number. Bike register sticker taken off.
