Pedal Power: Bike Recovered To Teenager22 Feb 2018
A delighted teenager is able to ride his stolen bike again after it was recovered by British Transport Police through BikeRegister.
The young man belongs to Pedal Power, a cycling group for teenagers and adults with learning disabilities.
His father, Alistair Parkes from Surrey, said: “We can highly recommend getting bikes marked and registered on BikeRegister by British Transport Police. When our son’s bike was stolen, police were able to identify and return it based on these markings and information held on the BikeRegister database. We were also enormously grateful that the bike was returned home by a helpful member of British Transport Police, who kindly gave us a free replacement ‘gold standard’ D-lock, for added future security.”
