Schools Should Reach For The STARS

STARS is Transport for London (TfL)’s accreditation scheme for London schools and nurseries and aims to inspire young Londoners to travel to school sustainably, actively, responsibly and safely by walking, scooting and cycling.
However, an active travel programme will mean more bikes and scooters parked at school all day, providing more opportunity for bike thieves.
For this reason, STARS has teamed up with the Metropolitan Police to offer BikeRegister bike marking and registration sessions to schools and nurseries across London to help pupils and staff keep their bikes safe.
Schools can register to become a STARS school online at https://stars.tfl.gov.uk and join the 1,500 schools and nurseries that are already taking part.
