Mandatory Marking Introduced At Cycle Hubs

Waltham Forest Council is introducing mandatory bike marking as a condition of membership for cyclists wishing to use the new, secure cycle hubs across the borough.
As part of the Enjoy Waltham Forest initiative, cyclists will be able to leave their bike at a hub while they are out and about for an annual fee. They will then be given a BikeRegister kit to mark and register their bikes within a month.
The cycle hubs have CCTV, key fob entry, enhanced lighting, two-tiered user-friendly assisted cycle parking racks and cycle pumps.
