Celebrating Our 5th Anniversary with Cyclescheme

BikeRegister is delighted to celebrate its 5th anniversary as a partner of Cyclescheme, the leading provider of tax-free bikes for work.

BikeRegister aims to reduce cycle theft, identify stolen bikes and assist in owner recovery and has more than 940,000 bikes registered on its secure database, which is used by all UK police forces to check for stolen bikes.

The partnership has increased the security of nearly 200,000 bikes purchased through Cyclescheme, allowing any registered cycle to be traceable by police if it is stolen and recovered.

Cyclescheme has processed a total of 893,994 bikes through their Cycle to Work scheme, which allows employers to provide cycles and accessories like safety equipment to employees as a tax-free benefit. There are over 2,000 Cyclescheme retailers nationwide.

By purchasing a bike with Cyclescheme, employees stand to save between 25-39% of the cost of a new bike AND help protect it from theft with BikeRegister. That’s because all new bikes obtained through Cyclescheme can be auto-registered with BikeRegister for free.

Laurence Boon, Product Manager, Cyclescheme added: “Ensuring Cycleschemers are the most protected riders on the road is important to us, we want to have our communities’ backs and ensure there are solutions at play should the worst happen. With the £1,000 cap lifted last summer through our Freedom to Ride scheme, and the increasing popularity of ebikes, the average value of bikes is rising so BikeRegister is more relevant than ever.”
