Report your stolen bike

More and more marked bikes are being recovered and returned to their rightful owners through BikeRegister. If your bike is stolen you should report it to the Police and report it as stolen on BikeRegister – even if your bike is not already registered.

If you already have the bicycle registered with BikeRegister, change the status from “in possession” to “stolen” from within your account. Login here.

If you are new to BikeRegister, create an account, add your (stolen) bike and then change its status from “in possession” to “stolen”. Please start the registration process below by first entering your email address and chosen password. You will then be asked for the bike details, including details of where it was stolen.

When you have changed the status of your bike from “in possession” to “stolen” you will be given the option to tweet details of your bike including photo to our fast growing social media following. We’ll spread the word for you and maybe someone will spot it and help you get your bike back.

You can report the theft to the Police online, by phone or in person at your local police station. Ask for your crime reference number and add this to the details of the theft on BikeRegister. This will help you trace the progress of your case and may be needed for your insurance claim.

Please have your bike frame number, make and model ready for registration.
